Preparation

The mood in the camp is a mixture of excitement and trepidation; the nerves are mainly Gem's realisation about being in close proximity to Andy's four pairs of socks for three long months.

We have trained in the Welsh Hills and started to pack our bags... so now there is only time for a party and a poem...

All flights are booked and with passport in hand
We head off around the world with the itinery planned.
The guidebooks have been scanned and the budget is rough,
And getting all our stuff in our backpacks will be tough.
We've been jabbed in both arms and laden with every pill,
Been warned about the bugs and food which will make us ill.
We will miss our comforts and miss everyone we know
But most people can't wait for us to go!
